We're the Newmans and have been serving in Scotland for the past 17 years. God is doing amazing things here and it's such an honor to serve Him!

Living in Scotland has always required us to obtain an immigration visa. At first this wasn't an issue, but over the past few years visa expenses have risen dramatically. At today's prices, it now costs a family of three around $30,000 over a four year missions term. As you can imagine, this simply isn't sustainable. 

Back in 2020, we were scheduled to apply for permanent residency status which meant we would no longer require a visa. Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic completely disrupted the immigration system, requiring us to forgo our application and return to America without obtaining permanent residency. Yet we trusted God would provide us a new visa to return, which He did! However, as previously mentioned, this came at great cost and is something we simply cannot continue doing. 

The great news though is that in 2026, we will once again qualify for permanent residency! The one time fee associated with this is $15,000, and although that's certainly not cheap, it will save us thousands of dollars in the future!
